The legacy CamelCrusher Mac build comes from an earlier Intel-era plug-in environment. Depending on the Mac and DAW, producers now encounter failed scans, blank interfaces or compatibility workarounds. JDMeet Crusher is a separate native build for Apple Silicon and Intel; it does not depend on Rosetta to run its own code.
The release includes 20 recovered factory control-value sets, includingBritish Clean, plus two JD presets for kicks and bass. It is VST3-only, has been loaded in FL Studio 26 and validated across mono/stereo processing at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz.

Does CamelCrusher work on modern macOS?
The legacy Mac build is unmaintained and was made for an earlier Intel-era plug-in environment. Some producers can still run it through compatibility workarounds, while others report failed scans, blank interfaces or missing plug-ins on current Macs. JDMeet Crusher is a native universal VST3 alternative rather than a patched copy of the old binary.
Is JDMeet Crusher the original CamelCrusher?
No. JDMeet Crusher is an independent product with its own name, interface, plug-in identifier and implementation. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Camel Audio or Apple.
Will it automatically reopen CamelCrusher in old projects?
No. DAWs identify JDMeet Crusher as a different plug-in, so it cannot automatically replace CamelCrusher in an existing session. Load it on a new slot and choose or recreate the settings you need.
Which Macs and DAWs are supported?
Version 0.1.0 supports macOS 11 or newer on Apple Silicon and Intel. It is a VST3 plug-in, so it requires a macOS DAW that hosts VST3. The public test release has been loaded in FL Studio 26.
Does JDMeet Crusher work in Logic Pro?
Not in version 0.1.0. Logic Pro loads Audio Units, while this release is VST3 only. Use a VST3-compatible host.
