Brief
Restore a loved, high-speed distortion workflow for producers who moved to current MacBooks—without redistributing the abandoned binary, copying its proprietary code or depending on Rosetta.
Product system
We treated it as a complete product rather than a code demo. The work covered parameter archaeology, adaptation of an MIT-licensed DSP scaffold, responsive native controls, preset recall, universal compilation, DAW validation, a macOS installer and an owned download page.
Visual direction
The new panel preserves the muscle memory of Patch plus four effect blocks. Dark machined surfaces, amber indicator rings and compact industrial typography move the product into the JD Meet Music world while keeping every control immediately legible.
Outcome
A free VST3 with a signed and notarized installer for modern Intel and Apple Silicon Macs. It has been installed and loaded successfully in Ableton Live and FL Studio 26, restores its state and gives the community a testable path forward.
